These are the kinds of esoteric questions that run through my mind as I prepare to build the follow up to Volume I.
Now here's a question that's actually answerable: Are we planning on using this blog as a forum to get all pitchforky and review/critique/discuss/praise/defend the works held within each Volume of the project? Or, are we just going to keep our mouths shut and listen? I'm not entirely sure if the answer will affect my playlist in any way, but I am curious.
I plan on reflecting on Heff's selections and posting a brief response this evening. If nothing else, it lets us know our efforts are noticed. If you don't like feedback, you have the option of not reading it.
ReplyDeleteI have never been on pitchfork, I can only assume it is a site dedicated to either satanism or farming.
I would hate for our friendly endeavor to turn into an elitist discussion of the merits or shortcomings of certain musical styles or artists, although lively discussion would be entertaining. I do think it would benefit future compilers and the group to have an indication of what is warmly recieved, and what may be avoided.
Unless this makes me an asshole. In which case, I will do it anyway and justify that classification.
